Elite League Overview

Goal

Our Elite teams are designed to prepare players to compete on Canadian or U.S. College or University teams. These players have excelled at the rep level and are willing to commit the majority of their year to training and competing in baseball. Our Elite teams play in Baseball Ontario's Elite Division. A typical level of commitment includes:

  • 2+ times/week winter training starting in January
  • 2+ games/week with travel throughout the GTA
  • 2+ practices/week
  • 4+ tournaments (many are in the US)
  • Provincial AAA championships (pending qualification)

Tryouts/Registration

Tryouts are held in early August. Team tryout schedules and contact information will be posted in July.

Elite, Rep and Select players who are offered a position may register immediately on-line via the Majors website. The Majors typically offer teams in the following divisions/age groups based on the player's age as of January 1st of the playing season.

  • Bantam 14/15 year olds
  • Midget 16-18 year olds

Uniforms

Our uniform fitting day is typically held in November. The schedule will be posted on the Events Calendar.

Training/Competition

Coaches determine their own pre-season and regular season practice schedule. Baseball Ontario typically releases their league schedule in early April. Schedules, standings and rules governing league play will be posted on the Baseball Ontario website
